AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A DATABASE OF VETERANS' PROFILES TO PROVIDE AN ACCURATE COUNT OF NAVAJO NATION VETERANS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ninety-two thousand twenty dollars ($92,020) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to employ a qualified person, to be located in Crownpoint, to develop a database of veterans' profiles and statistics to provide an accurate count of Navajo veterans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
