AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAMS IN SANTA FE COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 and 2008 for Santa Fe county to contract with a nonprofit organization to provide inpatient rehabilitation services for alcohol and substance abuse treatment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.

     Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
