AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DIGITAL VIDEO DISC PRODUCTIONS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF MINING IN NEW MEXICO, ABOUT THE IMPACT OF MINING ON NEW MEXICO CULTURE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND ABOUT MINE SAFETY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to produce, in coordination with the bureau of geology and mineral resources, digital video discs about the history of mining in New Mexico, about the impact of mining on New Mexico culture and economic development and about mine safety. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
