AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STUDY OF WAYS TO CONNECT RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING RESOURCES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to study ways to connect research and engineering resources and to create a distributed developmental test bed to connect state and federal government, private research institutes and the state's three research universities, two national laboratories and related technology business enterprises. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
