AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HOMELAND SECURITY CENTER AT NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-six thousand dollars ($36,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to restore previous cuts and provide funds for expansion of the homeland security center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
