AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM AT LUNA COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for Luna community college for the renewable energy program, which focuses on providing qualified technicians to install and service wind, solar and hydroelectric energy systems. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
