AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT IN SUPPORT OF NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURAL PERFORMANCES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to support performances of traditional and contemporary Native American performing arts in Santa Fe, thereby educating the schoolchildren and the general public regarding Native American culture and traditions and encouraging new performing arts talent. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
