AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A BOYS AND GIRLS AFTER-SCHOOL AND IN-SCHOOL DRUG PREVENTION PROGRAM IN TAOS, QUESTA, TAOS PUEBLO, PENASCO AND PICURIS PUEBLO.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to support a boys and girls after-school and in-school drug abuse prevention program, including character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills training and arts, sports and fitness recreation in Taos, Questa, the Pueblo of Taos, Penasco and the Pueblo of Picuris. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
