AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR LIBRARY MATERIALS FOR NEW MEXICO CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the education bureau of the corrections department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for self-help, motivational and leadership library materials that shall be purchased from New Mexico-based publishers whenever possible. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
