    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 541

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, after "REPRESENTATIVES" insert "AND TWO LOCAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE PROVIDER REPRESENTATIVES".

    2. On page 1, line 22, strike "fifteen" and insert in lieu thereof "seventeen".

    3. On page 2, line 17, strike "and".

    4. On page 2, line 20, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

    5. On page 2, between lines 20 and 21, insert the following new paragraph:

             "(7) two members appointed by the governor to represent local telecommunications service providers, one of whom is to represent carriers with more than fifty thousand access lines in the state and one of whom is to represent carriers with less than fifty thousand access lines in the state.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
