    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 541, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. Strike all senate public affairs committee amendments. 

    2. On page 1, line 12, after "REPRESENTATIVES" insert "AND TWO LOCAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE PROVIDER REPRESENTATIVES".

    3. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike "AS PROVIDED BY LAWS 2003, CHAPTER 49, SECTION 4".

    4. On page 1, line 22, strike "fifteen" and insert in lieu thereof "seventeen".

    5. On page 2, line 17, strike "and".

    6. On page 2, lines 18 through 20, strike Paragraph (6) in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new paragraphs:

             "(6) two members appointed by the governor to represent local government, one appointment to be selected by the governor from a list of three names provided by the New Mexico association of counties and one appointment to be selected by the governor from a list of three names provided by the New Mexico municipal league; and

             (7) two members appointed by the governor to represent local telecommunications service providers.".
