Madam President:

    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 284

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 15, strike "one hundred" and insert in lieu thereof "at least ninety".

    2. On page 3, line 17, after "school" insert "and provides one hundred percent of its educational scholarships or tuition grants to children who qualify for the federal free or reduced price school meal program at the time of initial application for the scholarship or tuition grant".                               

    3. On page 4, line 4, after "school" insert "or auxiliary entity". 

    4. On page 5, line 4, after "school" insert "or auxiliary entity". 

    5. On page 5, between lines 8 and 9, insert the following new paragraph: 

             "(1) "auxiliary entity" means a booster club or other group organized to support extracurricular activities at an eligible school through fundraising and volunteer efforts;".

    6. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
