AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ADULT MENTAL HEALTH COURT PROGRAM IN THE FIRST JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the first judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for an adult mental health court program in the first judicial district. The appropriation shall be used for the following purposes:
(1) to provide salary and benefits for a program manager and court clinician;
(2) to provide contractual services for treatment costs; and
(3) to fund other operating costs.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
