AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR RESEARCH TO SUPPORT THE CHILE INDUSTRY IN NEW MEXICO.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven million dollars ($7,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 and subsequent fiscal years for research to support the chile industry in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
