AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE LEGAL SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME PERSONS STATEWIDE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the civil legal services fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 and subsequent fiscal years for the civil legal services commission to contract for services to provide legal assistance to low-income persons in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
