AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO EXPAND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred eighty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($682,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to expand the university's biomedical engineering program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
