AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO RETIRE COUNTY DEBT FOR VOTING MACHINES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state board of finance for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to retire county debt for voting machines pursuant to Sections 1-9-17 and 1-9-18 NMSA 1978. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
