AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE JULIAN SAMORA LEGACY PROJECT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to support the Julian Samora legacy project, which is a collaboration among the university of Texas, Michigan state university, the university of Notre Dame and the university of New Mexico to make the papers of anthropologist Julian Samora more accessible for research. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
