AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP TRIBAL INFRASTRUCTURE PLANS TO SECURE RESOURCES FOR BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS ON TRIBAL LAND.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million four hundred thousand dollars ($3,400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to develop tribal infrastructure plans and to secure additional state and federal resources for basic infrastructure needs for tribal communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
