AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION AND TRANSITION FACILITY IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million six hundred thousand dollars ($3,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to contract with a private entity in Bernalillo county to operate a secure, long-term, statewide, multijurisdictional residential rehabilitation and transition facility that admits persons who have been ordered to the facility by a New Mexico court. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
