AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE COMPENSATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Sixty-two thousand one hundred eight dollars ($62,108) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to provide an average fifteen percent salary increase for law enforcement academy certified instructors. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
