HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 742, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Ray Begaye

    1. On page 6, strike lines 17 and 18 in their entirety and insert the following new section:

    "Section 4. CONTINGENT ENACTMENT.--Enactment of Sections 1 through 3 of this 2007 act is contingent upon an appropriation to the office of the state medical investigator for medical investigations requested by Indian nations, tribes or pueblos in the General Appropriation Act of 2007 or other legislation enacted by the first session of the forty-eighth legislature. The department of finance and administration shall certify to the New Mexico compilation commission and the legislative council service that money to the office of the state medical investigator for those investigations has been appropriated.".
