AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROMOTE THE USE OF SOLAR ENERGY BY TRAINING NEW MEXICO RESIDENTS TO INSTALL SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the construction industries division of the regulation and licensing department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to train New Mexico residents to install solar energy systems in compliance with the quality standards of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
