AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL FILMMAKING FESTIVAL IN ALBUQUERQUE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico film division of the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 and 2008 to contract for services to conduct an international digital filmmaking festival in Albuquerque that will serve to promote the film industry in New Mexico and educate students in the film technician training program at central New Mexico community college and students of the media arts program at the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
