AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR LOW-DOSE SCREENING MAMMOGRAMS AND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, GLAUCOMA AND DIABETES TESTING OF HISPANIC FEMALES AT A PUBLIC HEALTH CLINIC IN THE SOUTH VALLEY OF BERNALILLO COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for low-dose screening mammograms for the presence of breast cancer and high blood pressure, glaucoma and diabetes testing of Hispanic females eighteen years of age or older who do not have health coverage for these services, at a public health clinic in the south valley of Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
