AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A MUSIC, VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR NEW MEXICO'S AT-RISK YOUTH AND HIGH-RISK YOUTH OFFENDERS INCARCERATED IN SANTA FE COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to contract with a nonprofit organization to provide a music, visual and performing arts education program for New Mexico's at-risk youth and high-risk youth offenders incarcerated in correctional facilities in Santa Fe county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
