AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN FOR DEVELOPING BEST PRACTICES AND CURRICULUM AND TRAINING FOR GENDER-SPECIFIC PROGRAMS FOR PERSONNEL SERVING INCARCERATED WOMEN AND GIRLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on the status of women for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for developing best practices and curriculum and training for gender-specific programs in public and private correctional facilities for personnel serving girls and women, including probation and parole personnel. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
