AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TECHNOLOGY-BASED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE UNITED STATES-MEXICO BORDER REGION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for operational support and project development for technology-based economic development in the United States-Mexico border region, including business incubation, business acceleration, applied research and business financing. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
