AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO BROADCAST LEGISLATIVE SESSIONS AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight million dollars ($8,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to broadcast legislative sessions and committee meetings on television in order to promote open government. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
