AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE MEDICAL INVESTIGATOR.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred fifty-five thousand four hundred sixty dollars ($655,460) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the office of the state medical investigator. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
