AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH ST. VINCENT REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AS AN ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS REPOSITORY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for St. Vincent regional medical center to establish and implement an electronic medical records repository for north central New Mexico, including establishing a database and tracking system for all providers and including software, planning, design and training for hospitals, providers and doctors in north central New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
