AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO AID WOMEN VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred sixty-nine thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($469,250) is appropriated from the general fund to the veterans' services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to establish a center to serve women veterans and their families, including providing therapy, trauma treatment, support groups and staff training for those serving such veterans and compilation and analysis of data on the needs of New Mexico women veterans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
