AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH COLLABORATIVE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twelve million dollars ($12,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to support the technology research collaborative and to provide state matching dollars for federal and private contributions to the collaborative and to the centers of excellence at the various participating research and higher education institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
