AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND RESEARCH AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY IN WATER QUALITY AND AVAILABILITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to expand research in water quality and availability. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
