AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PRIMARY HEALTH CARE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to support operating costs associated with providing uncompensated care to low-income, rural and underserved New Mexicans and to maintain the state's primary care safety net, pursuant to the provisions of the Rural Primary Health Care Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
