SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 36, sponsored by Senator Nava for the Legislative Education Study Committee, ap-
propriates a total of $1,200,000 from the general fund to support Engaging Latino Communities
for Education (ENLACE) programs at the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State Uni-
versity and Santa Fe Community College. An appropriation of $400,000 is made to each institu-
tion for this purpose.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriations totaling $1,200,000 contained in this bill are recurring expenses to the gen-
eral fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balances remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007
shall revert to the general fund.
