Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 760 appropriates $6 thousand from the general fund to the public education depart-
ment for the purpose of increasing salaries for crossing guards in the Rio Grande cluster of the
Albuquerque Public School district.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $6 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert
to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
Direct appropriations to specific salary groups may be in conflict with existing labor agreements
or district salary schedules.
TECHNICAL ISSUES
Funds for employee salaries are included in the state equalization guarantee (SEG) distribution.
