SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 737, “Fifth Judicial District Methamphetamine Program” appropriates $50,000 from
the general fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts for the purpose of providing funding
for a methamphetamine drug education program in the 5
th
Judicial District.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $50,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert
to the general fund.
AOC suggests that the appropriation should rather be made to the 5
th
judicial district attorney or
Administrative Office of the District Attorneys.
