SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 625 appropriates $50 thousand from the general fund to the Local Government Divi-
sion of the Department of Finance and Administration in FY07 to provide a workforce develop-
ment program for young adults in Bernalillo County.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $50 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY07 would revert to
the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The Department of Labor (DOL) noted that the Workforce Investment Act administered through
the Office of Workforce Training and Development provides for similar activities for youth and
young adults.

programs in this area.
