SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 504 appropriates $133.9 thousand from the general fund to the New Mexico school
for the deaf for the purpose of hiring additional staff.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $133.9 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall
revert to the general fund.
The New Mexico School for the Deaf is funded through higher education and its compensation
in included therein. The appropriation included in this bill will raise the base compensation lev-
els accordingly.
