Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 285 requests an appropriation of $25.0 thousand dollars from the general fund to the
Public Education Department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for credit recovery, English
language learning, and special needs technology services for the Las Vegas Public School Dis-
trict.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
$ 25.0 Thousand dollars are appropriated from the general fund. Any unexpended or unencum-
bered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
House Bill 285 could support the rural Las Vegas School District in supporting credit recovery,
English language learning, and special needs technology services.
