AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS ENROLLED IN A GRADUATE OR POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM IN A NEW MEXICO PUBLIC POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for child care assistance for persons who are enrolled in a graduate or postgraduate degree program in a New Mexico public post-secondary institution. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
