AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO REIMBURSE GUADALUPE COUNTY FOR HOUSING PRISONERS FROM OTHER JURISDICTIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-four thousand eighty-seven dollars ($74,087) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to reimburse Guadalupe county for the cost of housing prisoners who are being held for transfer to another jurisdiction. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
