AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT A SIMULCAST PRODUCTION OF A SIGNIFICANT NINETEENTH CENTURY OPERA IN SANTA FE COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to contract with a not-for-profit opera company in Santa Fe county to plan and implement a simulcast production of a significant nineteenth century opera to be offered free to the general public in an outdoor location during August 2006. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
