AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A MIDDLE SCHOOL READING PROGRAM IN THE TAOS MUNICIPAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred forty-six thousand dollars ($146,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a reading program in Taos middle school in the Taos municipal school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
