AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND TO SERVE ADDITIONAL PEOPLE THROUGH THE MEDICAID DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Thirteen million dollars ($13,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 as follows:

                (1) three million dollars ($3,000,000) to provide mental health services statewide; and

                (2) ten million dollars ($10,000,000) to shorten the waiting list by serving additional people through the medicaid developmental disabilities waiver program.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
