AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE COUNSELING SERVICES FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION AND CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION IN LAS VEGAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WAGON MOUND PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND MORA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to serve as matching funds for a federal grant to provide counseling services for substance abuse prevention and child abuse prevention in Las Vegas city public schools, Wagon Mound public schools and Mora independent schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
