AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK YOUTH IN EIGHT SCHOOLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to implement four tribal and four nontribal character development programs for at-risk youth in eight schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
