AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ORAL HEALTH INITIATIVES PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for an oral health initiatives program that would provide treatment for and educate children on the ill effects of methamphetamine on the mouth and that would provide oral health treatment for special needs children and orthodontia for children with cleft palates. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
