AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EL PRADO WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT TO ACQUIRE WATER RIGHTS AND TO PAY FOR LEGAL, TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ITS WATER RIGHTS ACQUISITION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for El Prado water and sanitation district to acquire water rights and to pay for legal, technical and administrative costs associated with its water rights acquisition. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
